About Miss Marcy Music
Lessons and Tuition
Miss Marcy keeps her pricing low because she believes everyone should have the opportunity to learn the piano and appreciate the joy of making music.
She offers 30-minute lessons once each week for $25 per lesson, billed in advance at $100 per month ($125 for five-week months).
Lessons are scheduled Mondays thru Thursdays from after school thru 5:30pm.
Curriculum
Miss Marcy uses the Music for Little Mozarts curriculum for adolescents.
For older students, curriculum is recommended based on level of experience - beginner, intermediate or advanced.
Curriculum materials are supplied by Miss Marcy and billed separately from tuition.
Recitals
Miss Marcy holds two recitals for her students each year - a Holiday Music Recital in December and a Spring Recital and Reception in April or May.
A recital fee is charged the month prior to each event to help cover the cost of the venue.
Expectations
Miss Marcy expects her students to be on-time for lessons with their books and with all assignments completed. Forgotten books mean a lost lesson.
Students who are up to 10-minutes late will receive an abbreviated lesson ending at the scheduled time.
Students later than 10 minutes will forfeit the lesson. No make-up lessons are granted for tardiness.
Absences and Make-Ups
Absences are excused for illness only. Vacations and family trips are not considered excused absences.
Students will receive make-up lessons for time missed due to illness. No refunds.
